This product is for unmarked upper receivers that comport to Mil-Spec standards. In an effort for transparency, we will identify each batch and current stock by the assembly house (who finishes and assembles the receivers under their brand) as well as the forge from where it was made (denoted by the forge mark, reference here).
We do this because the term "Mil-Spec" is to denote parts that are in accordance with the Technical Data Package (TDP) for AR-15. Mil-Spec is a minimum requirement set forth by the militay when it comes to the acquisition of parts and standards for their needs.
Mil-Spec is also a marketing term. While not strictly controlled like trademarks or copywrite, Mil-Spec has come to denote products that are either military surplus or equivalents, or denotes commercial products that use the same formula and construction standards that are required of military contract manufacturers. Some products are advertised as Mil-Spec+ or greater than Mil-Spec. This can be technically true as and modern materials, construction, coatings, and some improved designs are qualifiably and quantifiably better than Mil-Spec. However, be advised that deviations from strict Mil-Spec standards introduce proprietary variables that may cause reliability issues: Tolerance stacking with mismatched coatings is one such example (Titanium Nitride Coated Bolts with Nickel Boron barrel extensions).
