The Sons Of Liberty Gun Works AR-15 Loyal 9 A5 Receiver Extension (9 Position) is fully compatible with VLTOR's patented A5 system.  The receiver extension tube is longer than carbine receiver extensions to utilize rifle length springs and A5 buffers.  The purpose of the A5 system is numerative and most carbine/pistol builds (<16" barrel) will benefit from an A5 system over a standard carbine receiver extension.
