Primary Weapons Systems Mod 2 Flash Suppressing Compensator Muzzle Device - FSC47
A testament to the efficacy of any aftermarket technology is adoption as an OEM part for a major manufacturer. Primary Weapon Systems introduced the Flash Suppressing Compensators (FSC) years ago and when FN was adapting their SCAR rifles for the US market, they chose PWS' FSC556 for their SCAR16 rifle as the muzzle device.
Few other muzzle devices are able to deliver on simultaneous flash suppression and recoil reduction. Due to the unique port structure of the FSC, what flash is visible is kept out of the line of sight for the shooter. Previously, the FSC featured open tines on the end of the muzzle device, and new to the MOD 2 FSC is a closed-end configuration. We see this change was to do away with the snag hazard and to reduce the "ring" heard on open tine muzzle devices when firing.
