Description
PWS already had a proprietary and improved system for mounting the buffer tube, and now they went and made it better with the Enhanced Buffer Tube MOD 2. The secure, new ratchet-lock system eliminates the need for semi-permanent staking to securely fasten the castle nut to the end plate. Lower end rifle manufacturers would often skip this step, timid home builders would avoid it, and half the time it would be done incorrectly. Well no more.
The Enhanced Buffer Tube MOD 2 features:
- Ratchet-Lock design eliminates the need to stake the castle nut (easy to remove)
- Reduced weight means the PWS MOD 2 weighs 1 oz less than mil-spec equivalent hardware
- Buffer tube is made from 7075 aluminum that is Type III Hardcoat Anodized
- Anti-tilt lip extends into the lower receiver, eliminating carrier-tilt for piston driven weapons
- Central QD mount built into the Endplate
- Enlarged drainage holes in the buffer tube
