Magpul Industries M-LOK AFG Angled Fore Grip
The latest Magpul Angled Fore-Grip (AFG) is part of Magpul's line of "theory based products" which help increase shooter efficiency. Used in conjunction with Magpul Dynamic's instruction which suggests shooters have their thumb over the barrel in order to aid in recoil control, the AFG provides a ergonomic and secure location for your support hand to grip.
The M-LOK AFG is the smallest and lightest yet, weighing in at only 1.2oz with mounting hardware.
Unlike conventional vertical fore-grips, the Magpul AFG (Angled Fore-Grip) takes into account natural body mechanics and provides a comfortable and stable user interface that reduces fatigue and allows for more precise weapon control. By positioning the shooter's hand high on the centerline of the bore, the AFG2 helps mitigate recoil and control the weapon, facilitating faster, more accurate follow-up shots.
Additionally, the ATF once decreed that Angled Fore Grips are not vertical grips. They are considered a hand rest, which makes them suitable to put on an AR pistol or other large framed handgun that has a rail at 6 o'clock.
