The RE5F is a joint collaboration between Sons of Liberty Gun Works and Forward Controls Design, to work in conjunction with VLTOR's proven A5 buffers and rifle length springs.
The A5 system is a proven upgrade to nearly all AR pattern firearms in 5.56. The A5 system uses VLTOR A5 buffers (longer than carbine buffers) and rifle length springs. This offers numerous benefits to the operation of the AR-15 which have been extensively documented by military and private individuals.
The RE5F is made of impact extruded 7075 aluminum with rolled threads. This provides the most robust lockup and engagement with the threads of the lower receiver and castle nut.
