BE Meyers 249F
Legendary flash hider commission by an Army Commando unit and exclusively available to them until 2015 when WO was the first company to bring it to market
The BE Meyers 249F flash hider is a piece of storied history, being commissioned by an elite US military commando unit at the outset of the GWOT, and an exclusive and rare device until about 2015 when sound suppressors began to overtake flash hiders for special operations.
At 2.7" in length, an 18D and secret gun dork asked me questions about barrel length in 2013 or so, and that's when I figured out that 13.7" barrels paired with this and a 0.125" washer would get you to exactly 16.125" when pinned and welded together. So I kicked off the 13.7" revolution in that time frame with this little muzzle device!
Anyway, as of Jan 2015, this item has been out of production for YEARS and the patent sold to JP enterprises! However, cleaning out their warehouse, BE Meyers found this muzzle devices which appear to be 2017 vintage 249F flash hiders. 2017 feels like YESTERDAY for me, but it's actually 8 years ago... what the hell mannnn. Older 249F flash hiders have a tough texture and parkerized finish, these have a black oxide/nitride finish which is smoother and more durable.
Anyway, these are truly the LAST of the LAST of the BE Meyers 249 F flashb hiders, own a piece of history today!
