SIONICS Weapon Systems Chrome Lined - Medium Contour Carbine-Length EXTREME REDUCED PORT Barrel - Stripped - 11.5in

SIONICS Barrels are manufactured from CMV 4150 Ordnance Steel. All Barrels are Radiograph and MPI tested. This Extreme Reduced Port barrel is made specifically to run as a host barrel with a gun that will be ONLY suppressed. The extreme reduced port is the smallest maller than standard 11.5" barrels and will not cycle reliably without a suppressor. The benefit is reduced gas blowback, as well as less wear and stress on the internal components.

The reasoning behind the ERP is to eliminate tuneable gas blocks, carriers, and other options that add complexity to the operating system. Complexity increases potential failure in an operating system and the increased pressures introduced with suppressors increase component wear as well as increased fouling. Using a smaller port helps regulate gas pressure introduced in the cycling of the weapon system.

This is an ideal barrel for suppressors that will be permanently attached via direct threading or pinned to the barrel.
