Magpul MIAD Gen 1.1 Type 1 Grip Kits
The MIAD (MIssion ADaptable) GEN 1.1 Grip is a drop-in replacement for the standard AR15 grip, now available in two dedicated configurations to fit most receivers. It is designed to improve ergonomics with interchangeable front and rear straps for personalized hand fit, an aggressive texture for positive weapon control, and is compatible with all Magpul grip cores to adapt to various storage needs.
This update to the original MIAD has improved strap retention and also comes standard with the newest grip core that holds an included 1/2 oz. lubrication bottle.
Two sizes are available- this TYPE 1 Kit (MAG520) fits most 5.56x45 and 7.62x51 AR receivers and the TYPE 2 Kit (MAG521) which is required for some 7.62x51 size receivers.
This is one of my favorite grips on the market, and being 6'2" I really like this large size configuration.

I didn't intend to become a snob about grips, yet here I am. Is a plastic grip going to be a deal breaker for you in a gun fight? Or are you bored enough to fine-tune a rifle as much as possible?
I've used the BCM Mod 1, B5, Magpul MOE and K2, Reptilia CQG, and the standard A2 grip. Except for the B5, something just felt "off" whenever I had these grips in hand -- the B5 is one of my favorite grips, especially the new model that is textured for your gripping pleasure ☆(❁‿❁)☆ But it didn't feel like the "right" grip for my main blaster ┐(‘～`；)┌
Initially, I had a BCM Mod 1 on my main blaster and scrapped it. Loved the texture but hated everything else about it. When I swapped it out for the Magpul MOE, I felt like I gained a lot in ergonomics, but was still left wanting -- it just wasn't thicc enough in the back. And ya boi was on a quest to get a handful of thicc. I also realized that I actually like the little front nub on the A2 grip... What's a shooter-chan to do? o(╥﹏╥)o
Thankfully, WO-Kun came through with the thiccness (WO customer service 253187/10 stars). The MIAD 1.1 has a more aggressive texture than the standard MOE, even more aggressive than the BCM. I wouldn't say it's on the same level as B5 cheese-grater, but this is a really great, grippy texture. Overall fit and finish feels a lot more "premium" as compared to the standard MOE.
Similar angle to the MOE, but with a modular backstrap I was able to get the thiccness just right. Plus, futa front nub! >‿‿◕
Best part is that if I get bored or otherwise want to change things up, the grip is modular and changes are super simple.
Only reason i ding it on value is because I wish there was an option to choose the core (I like storing batteries and tasteful nudes in my grip, if given the option), but that's a Magpul problem.
