LMT Defense Tactical Adjustable Rear Sight (L8A)

The LMT Defense Tactical Adjustable Rear Sight (TARS) is a full-featured rear back-up iron sight.  

In the early days of the Global War On Terror (GWOT), and possibly before that, more discretionary units allowed for weapons modifications.  A popular modification was to chop the M4/M16A4 detachable carry handle to allow co-witnessing with optics mounted straight to the picatinny, flat-top upper receivers.  In response, LMT thought to make a robust, fixed rear sight with full elevation and windage adjustments.  

Now, you can purchase the TARS to maintain that classic profile.  While not as small or light as newer offerings, the L8A TARS is an excellent choice for two reasons:  tool-free installation/removal and you can sight in using the same standard that is taught to the military.
