These receivers are from Cero 7075-T6 forgings and have slightly different specs than typical Hodge receivers have. These were a special run done for a customer that wanted a more “Mil-spec” receiver.

Some changes between traditional HDSI Mod 1 receivers and this V1.5variant are:

–Reciever lug width
-Standard HDSI Mod 1 receivers have slightly oversized lugs to ensure a tight fit between the upper and lower receivers. The Mod 1 V1.5 variants DO NOT have oversized lugs. They have a width of approximately 0.496″ per the original TDP.

-Dry Film Lube
-Standard HDSI Mod 1 receivers do not have DFL. This run of receivers include a Dry Film Lubricant on the inside of the receivers. It should be noted that this lube is NOT permanent and that you still need to lubricate your receiver.

-T marks
-Standard HDSI Mod 1 receivers have T markings on the top of the Picatinny rail. This run DOES NOT have T-markings.

One thing that remains the same between this receiver and standard HDSI Mod 1s is that the barrel seat bore is slightly UNDERSIZED. This upper will require thermal fitting to install the barrel.
