Grey Ghost Gear sought input from deployed service members in how to create a lightweight sling that was durable enough to carry a heavy rifle or squad automatic weapon. Using advanced materials like hypalon, Grey Ghost Gear developed the SD GT Sling.

The SD GT earned it's name after fast cars that were usually denoted with a "GT" or Grand Touring in their name. The SD GT Sling is here to fulfill that need for a lightweight sling that can handle a heavier rifle for better comfort and durability.
