B.E. Meyers 249F-S Flash Hider (Collector's Prototype)
The BE Meyers 249F-S Flash Hider is an experimental prototype that led to the eventual adoption of the M249F. We have a limited stock of these original manufacture prototypes that were used in USSOCOM evaluations. These 249F-S models are new in box and come with a yoke and notches cut into the body that was to integrate for use with a Knight's NT4 suppressor. Although! B.E. Meyers' engineers stress that these prototypes SHOULD NOT be mounted and fired with a suppressor.
The 249F-S is for collectors and anyone who wants a collectible but still high performing flash hider. Featuring a hot, salt-bath finish (like a rough nitride or meloniting) -- the 249F-S has a matte grey color with some shine coming from the salt crystals embedded in the finish. Threaded in 1/2 x 28 TPI.
Again, we want to stress that the 249F-S is safe to shoot with but NOT with a suppressor, do not mount an NT4 suppressor to this muzzle device and expect good results. It could be catastrophic: damaging your suppressor, rifle, and maybe even you. The 249F-S is a high-performing flash hider only.
