Ballistic Advantage Performance Hanson Profile - 5.56 Barrel - w/ .625in Gas Block - Lightweight

Ballistic Advantage has developed their propietary "Hanson" profile for this series of barrels. Without machining a "shoulder" (a steep drop or angle cut into the outer diameter of the barrel,) Ballistic Advantage Hanson barrels symmetrically limit barrel whip.

Barrel whip can be seen on high speed videos, the rifle barrel slings around like wet spaghetti. Traditionally, bull barrels minimize this phenomenon because they have a heavy, straight contour. The Hanson profile maintains a slimmer profile than heavy or bull barrels without adding that excess weight.

The Lightweight Hansons are ideal for a general purpose carbine or rifle. The thinner profile makes for a handier and quicker pointing firearm, comfortable for a full day on the range or carried as a duty weapon.

Select from multiple lengths for your barrel. All of the Hanson barrels we stock are from Ballistic Advantage's "Performance" line and ship with a pinned low-pro gas block and Nickel Boron barrel extension. Barrels start at $210 for the 10.3" barrel length.
